About the Role

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction projects team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all materials, workmanship, and repairs meet the contract, plans, and specifications, as well as all building codes.
  • Review and approve all submittals and perform daily inspections of the work.
  • Prepare reports, both daily and monthly, to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor daily progress of projects and ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Review and enforce the company's quality control plan and have a working knowledge of the safety plan.
  • Possess a thorough and working knowledge of the plans and specifications of work performed.
  • Create and manage project submittal registers and assist with creating project-specific Quality Control Plans.
  • Collect and submit all necessary submittals and ensure that safety requirements are strictly adhered to.
  • Perform risk management and quality control to minimize project risks and create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Attend, facilitate, and coordinate all required meetings and progress updates, and provide onsite project oversight and leadership of quality control.
  • Interact with management to document and monitor changes in construction procedures and perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Professional Engineer (PE) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in related work or non-PE with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is a must.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills, strong organization skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Maintaining good attendance, punctuality, and actively participating with a positive attitude is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

This position is required to be on-site at all times during construction.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Requires supervisory responsibility.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations. 50%+ travel required.
