Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider I/II

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider I/II to join our team at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. As a key member of our urology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of cancer treatment.

Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider I/II will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and managing patients with acute and chronic phases of illness. This will include assessing physical symptoms, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications. You will also provide continued care throughout the patient's medical journey and educate and mentor Advanced Practice Provider I and additional clinical staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic phases of illness
  • Assess physical symptoms and develop treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications
  • Provide continued care throughout the patient's medical journey
  • Educate and mentor Advanced Practice Provider I and additional clinical staff
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's or higher-level degree in Nursing and be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. You will also need to have current New York State Nurse Practitioner certification and certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA). Additionally, you will need to have the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Advanced Practice Provider experience, prior Oncology experience, and prior Surgery experience are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
