Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Hematology Oncology Inpatient team at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our cancer care services.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough medical work-ups of inpatients and outpatients, including history and physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning.
Assist in surgical procedures and provide postoperative care and follow-up as needed.
Participate in providing medical/surgical services on patient divisions as requested.
Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
Provide education and support to patients and their families on cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in hematology oncology and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.

Requirements:

Master's or higher-level degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of New York.
Experience in hematology oncology or a related field, with a minimum of two years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
