Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Foundation Designer to join our Houston team. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in AutoCAD and have a solid understanding of both Post-Tension and conventional (rebar) slab design. Previous experience in structural design, particularly within the residential sector, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 3 years of foundation design experience.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD.
  • Develop structural foundation plans for primarily residential projects using architectural drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret residential architectural blueprints effectively.
  • Familiarity with PTI slab analysis software is preferred.
  • Experience with concrete projects outside of Texas is advantageous.
  • Understanding of survey plans, plot plans, and geotechnical reports.
  • Knowledge of building codes is a plus.
  • Basic mathematical skills for computations including percentages, algebra, and geometry.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented work ethic.

Work Schedule:

Typically Monday to Friday during the day, with the possibility of additional hours, including weekends, based on business requirements.
