Compensation: $55-$65/hr, Depending on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced software to model steel and concrete structures, including foundations, ensuring optimal design and member sizing.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of engineering plans and 3D models to verify compliance with engineering calculations and standards.
  • Engage in plant engineering roles within client facilities or provide field engineering support for construction projects.
  • Oversee project tasks as a lead engineer, coordinating the work of team members through effective planning and scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of design engineering experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in various engineering software applications.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; candidates pursuing licensure will be considered.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with CADD software; experience with Civil 3D is advantageous.
  • Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., RISA3D, STADD, ENERCALC).
  • Knowledge of current design codes and standards (e.g., IBC, AISC, ASCE7, ACI, MSHA, OSHA).
  • Experience in heavy industrial projects is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to participate in site visits, which may require travel.
  • Ability to work at heights and climb ladders.
  • Active membership in a professional organization (e.g., ASCE, ICC, AISC) is preferred.
