Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Foundation Designer to join our Houston team. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in AutoCAD and have a solid understanding of both Post-Tension and conventional (rebar) slab design. Previous experience in structural design, particularly within the residential sector, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in foundation design.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD software.
  • Develop structural foundation plans for primarily residential buildings based on architectural drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret residential architectural blueprints effectively.
  • Familiarity with PTI slab analysis software is advantageous.
  • Experience with concrete projects outside of Texas is a plus.
  • Understanding of survey plans, plot plans, and geotechnical reports.
  • Knowledge of building codes is beneficial.
  • Competence in basic arithmetic, algebra, and geometry for calculations.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and adaptable work ethic.

Work Schedule:

Typically Monday to Friday during the day, with potential for additional hours, including weekends, based on business requirements.
