Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of residential structures to identify potential issues and defects
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to address structural concerns and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Collaborate with our team of inspectors and engineers to provide comprehensive support to our clients
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in residential structural engineering
Requirements
  • Accredited degree in engineering or related field
  • Professional engineering license (PE) within the USA
  • 4 or more years of experience in residential structural engineering and residential foundation engineering
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret residential architectural drawings (blueprints)
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations
  • Ability to create frame and foundation details under limited supervision
  • Preferred experience with building envelope requirements and code requirements for residential homes
  • Experience working with mechanicals and HVAC considered or home building experience a plus
