Position Information:
The Nursing Assistant supports and incorporates WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model by delivering patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
The four key concepts of PFCC are:
• Dignity and Respect: We listen to and honor patient and family perspectives and choices, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued.
• Information Sharing: We communicate and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in ways that are affirming and useful, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Participation: We encourage and support patients and families in participating in care and decision-making at the level they choose, promoting autonomy and self-advocacy.
• Collaboration: We work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver care that is patient-centered, efficient, and effective.
The Nursing Assistant understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, vision, values, and aspirational goals of WakeMed.
Experience Requirements:
• 1 Year of clinical experience in a related area is preferred.
Education Required:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required, or completion of college courses in nursing assistant training.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
• Nurse Aide I certification is required.
Hours of Work:
• Days (7a-7p), every Saturday and Sunday, and one weekday shift.
Weekend Requirements:
• Every weekend.
Call Requirements:
• As needed.
