Community Inclusion Certified Peer Support Specialist

At SouthLight Healthcare, we're seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Inclusion Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, you will provide individualized, strengths-focused community-based interactions with assigned caseload to promote the development of wellness self-management, personal recovery, natural supports, coping skills, and self-advocacy skills, and development of independent living skills for housing, employment, and full community inclusion.

**Responsibilities:**

Assist clients with self-determination and decision-making

Model recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal action to encourage wellness

Teach and promote self-advocacy and wellness management

Provide linkage to community resources

Maintain and submit documentation (treatment plans, WRAP, service notes, service auth requests)

**Qualifications:**

Current Peer Support Certification

Valid driver's license with good driving record

Minimum high school diploma or GED

Minimum of 1 year working with the adult Mental Health/Substance Use population, preferably in a community setting

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records

Bilingual preferred but not required

Ability to be flexible and adapt to frequent change in work flow based on client need and service structure
