We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team at Gauthier Biomedical. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair production machines and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform regular, predictive, and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment, following operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and company procedures.
- Respond to emergency repairs, troubleshoot issues, and replace or repair parts to minimize downtime.
- Manage equipment maintenance through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), accurately documenting work performed in a timely fashion.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as material handling equipment, to perform tasks efficiently.
- Assist with plant layout and perform other building and custodial maintenance functions as needed.
- Support company safety objectives by maintaining compliance with government regulations, providing technical support for safety projects, and ensuring equipment is in a safe, operable condition.
- Encourage a positive work environment and culture through effective communication, coaching, teamwork, and leadership.
- Support continuous improvement efforts, making or recommending equipment and/or process modifications to improve quality and/or efficiency.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years of related maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, metal fabrication, PLC, electrical, plumbing, machine tools, power distribution, and hand tools preferred.
We offer a variety of shift options, including 1st shift (Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM), 2nd shift (4 ten-hour days, Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with optional overtime on Fridays), and part-time options.
