Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at New Orleans East Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images of fetal anatomy and OB-GYN conditions.
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound scans, including transabdominal and transvaginal exams, biophysical profiles, and nuchal translucency exams.
  • Assist with invasive procedures, such as amniocentesis and chorionic villi sampling, under the supervision of a physician.
  • Review physician orders to ensure accurate examination and diagnostic results.
  • Verify all images and documentation are sent to the electronic documentation system.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Sonography.
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (CPR, BLS) certification.
  • Fetal Nuchal Translucency Certification.
  • Sonography Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MFM sonography experience in an outpatient setting.
