Position Overview
The role of the Field Consultant involves extensive travel within designated regions to enhance awareness of military community resources. This position is crucial in fostering partnerships with local service providers, military representatives, and family support networks. The consultant will focus on assisting Service members and their families, particularly those who may lack access to installation resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel across the assigned area as directed to provide support and information.
- Assist Service members and families by offering referrals and resources related to military community services, including relocation assistance, counseling, educational programs, and transition support.
- Maintain a comprehensive online database of state-specific family programs and support services.
- Identify service gaps and collaborate with various organizations to enhance support systems.
- Facilitate coordination between military and civilian agencies to improve service delivery.
- Conduct briefings and training sessions to promote collaboration among relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications Required
- Must be a US Citizen and fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Strong customer service skills and familiarity with military lifestyles are essential.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of military experience, either as an Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve member, or as a spouse of a military member, or relevant civilian experience in military service programs.
- Additional 5 years of experience in roles such as marketing, sales, or education is preferred.
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check is mandatory.
- Must pass a DoD-initiated Tier 2 (Low-Risk) Suitability Investigation.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% within the assigned region is necessary.
- Residence within 50 miles of designated military bases is required.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience in marketing, recruiting, counseling, or educational instruction is highly valued.
