Bartender Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at the Highline Vail, a DoubleTree by Hilton. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, mixing and serving drinks, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, and other supplies.
  • Mix and serve drinks to guests, using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
  • Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers.
  • Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies all guest checks, records charges, and ensures coupons are properly executed.
  • Locks up and stores all beverage, food, and other equipment items, deposits cash drops, and secures the bank.
Requirements:
  • At least six months of experience as a Bartender.
  • Food handler and TIPS (or equivalent) certifications.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to work well with guests and colleagues.

Compensation: The anticipated compensation range for this position is $17.00 per hour. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors, including years of experience, education, and work location.
