Position Overview: We are currently in search of a Physician Coding Compliance Auditor who possesses a solid foundation in physician coding, billing practices, and reimbursement protocols. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, coding standards, contractual agreements, and diverse payment models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of physician charges against medical records and relevant documentation to ascertain accurate code assignments for diagnoses and services rendered (CPT/HCPCS codes).
  • Comprehend billing and coding stipulations for both government and commercial payers.
  • Extract statistical data from patient records and input information in accordance with facility guidelines.
  • Utilize coding resources and reference materials to ensure precision in coding for designated services.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain a high standard of privacy compliance.
  • Meet productivity benchmarks while managing tracking logs and deadlines effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications: CPC, CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS-P, and/or CCS certification is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in physician coding and auditing, with multi-specialty experience preferred.
  • Experience in surgical coding is mandatory.
  • Proficient knowledge of auditing and coding practices with CPT/HCPCS/ICD10/PCS.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation: For this position, the base salary range is $40,000 to $63,822 annually. Individual compensation is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
