Key Responsibilities
  • Verification and Documentation: Review and check construction and vendor drawings for verifications, ensuring high quality and accuracy of verification and documentation of installation.
  • Punch List Management: Verify closeout of punch list items in accordance with design requirements, ensuring that all items are completed to the highest standard.
  • Redline Management: Verify redlines are accurate and match the final installed condition, ensuring that all changes are properly documented.
  • Start-up Sequences and Safety Checklists: Understand and experience in start-up sequences and safety checklists prior to start-up, ensuring that all systems are safe and functional.
  • Testing and Verification: Review contractor testing procedures, reports, and testing activities for all project disciplines to ensure compliance with code and regulatory requirements.
  • Startup Checks: Prepare and execute startup checks, including verifying that startup documents have been fully executed and signed off.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up activities leading to project completion, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot controls during OAT, ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly.
  • Workarounds and Compliance: Recommend acceptable workarounds where systems are not 100% complete but need to be started in an early run scenario, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Progress Reports: Ensure compliance and progress reports are produced in accordance with project requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required, Licensed Journeyman preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years + Key trades: mechanical, process mechanical, instrumentation and controls, electrical, Commissioning experience directly related to semiconductor or biopharmaceutical facilities.
  • Skills: Excellent knowledge of OSHA guidelines surrounding safe construction practices, proficiency in Microsoft office software, knowledge of a commissioning software (EXTO, EIDA, Latista, etc), excellent written and verbal communication skills, competent knowledge of the processes to energize a system and validate that all the controls and instrumentation function as designed.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of P&ID's and one-line diagrams, knowledge and understanding of project specifications and building codes, ability to coach and lead others with a goal of timely completion and team development, knowledge and understanding of building and process systems and interrelation thereof, knowledge and experience with LOTO procedures.
