Amergis is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with instructional and behavioral needs.
Key Responsibilities- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, data collection, and progress monitoring to ensure students receive a high-quality education.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
- Provide behavioral support and interventions to students with challenging behaviors.
- Assist with daily living skills, such as toileting, dressing, and feeding, to promote independence and self-care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student-centered plans.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and behavioral challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other educational software.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
