Job Summary:

The Director of People Services will lead and oversee all aspects of human resources management for the organization. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with the organization's goals, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and recommend HR strategies to improve employee engagement and retention
  • Identify staffing and recruiting needs and develop best practices for hiring and talent management
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on organizational goals related to staffing, recruiting, and retention
  • Supervise subordinate staff in recruitment, selection procedures, and personnel policies
  • Develop and establish employee training and educational assistance programs
  • Investigate and resolve employee issues, including working conditions, disciplinary actions, and grievances
  • Prepare and present required and special reports
  • Develop and manage the HR department budget
  • Evaluate performance and recommend hiring, promotion, termination, and disciplinary actions
  • Direct onboarding of new employees and update general orientation processes
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business or Public Administration, Human Resource Management, or a closely related field
  • Considerable knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations relating to Human Resources
  • Healthcare experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR)
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and data analysis
  • Ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
