Job Summary

The State of Vermont is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Homeland Security Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Department of Public Safety, you will be responsible for overseeing the fiscal and program development for the Homeland Security Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage budgets for the Homeland Security Unit
  • Administer grants and programs related to homeland security
  • Collaborate with state and local agencies, as well as private sector organizations
  • Supervise a team of professionals and provide guidance on policy and program development
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An associate degree or higher in business management, accounting, finance, or a related field
  • At least one year of experience in an administrative role with accounting or finance responsibilities
  • Or, five or more years of experience in an administrative role with accounting or finance responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A bachelor's degree
  • Experience or education in homeland security or protective services
  • Experience with project management
