We are seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Brandywine Treatment Center.

The CFO plays a vital role within the senior leadership team, engaging in financial and operational decision-making processes essential for achieving the facility's financial and operational objectives.

The Facility CFO is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and managing the day-to-day fiscal responsibilities of the center.


Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities as CFO:
Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements.


Guarantee that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly, adhering to company policies and standards, while promptly identifying and rectifying any discrepancies.

Prepare corporate-required reports (including Monthly Operating Reports, Certifications, and Forecasts) in a timely and precise manner.


Ensure all accounting and business office policies are established to facilitate a clean audit, with no significant adjustments or deficiencies.

Oversee the Revenue Cycle operations to ensure timely collection of accounts receivable and minimize uncompensated care.

Work towards achieving cash collection goals and reducing bad debt and denials, while routinely reviewing revenue cycle metrics to proactively address performance issues.


Actively ensure Front End Revenue Cycle processes are implemented, including comprehensive insurance verification for all patients and collaboration with Financial Counselors for accurate patient portion determinations and logging of upfront collections.


Maintain a thorough understanding of federal, state, and managed care reimbursement methodologies to ensure accurate payment and recording of revenue deductions.

Facilitate the preparation of any necessary cost reports.

Supervise departments such as Accounting, Patient Accounting, Health Information Management, and Materials Management, ensuring adequate staffing and training.

Ensure compliance with Group Purchasing contracts and monitor purchases to maintain supply costs within budgeted levels.


Prepare the annual operating budget and participate in the strategic planning process that informs the budget.

Provide ongoing analysis of budget variances and assist the CEO in implementing necessary changes to meet budget goals.

Prepare annual capital budgets and Capital Equipment Requests, ensuring accurate recording of assets and related depreciation in compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

CFO Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field with a focus on Accounting.

A minimum of 3 years of successful CFO experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Experience in behavioral healthcare is highly desirable.

Previous experience with proprietary healthcare systems is a plus.

CPA certification or a Master's degree is advantageous.

Demonstrated financial analysis skills are essential.

Proficiency in information technology and software applications, including Excel and Word, is required.

Exemplary leadership abilities are necessary.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with facility staff, physicians, and corporate personnel.

Ability to lead with a high degree of emotional intelligence and ethical standards.
