Position Overview

Salary Range: $50,000 - $90,000

The Senior Financial Accountant at ViaOne Services is tasked with executing comprehensive financial, general, and cost accounting responsibilities. This role primarily emphasizes the execution of monthly financial closures, revenue billings, payables, and reconciliations for inventory and fixed assets, including the preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and cash variance analyses with precise timelines and accruals. A robust understanding of accounting practices, financial statements, reconciliations, project management, and reporting duties is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial, general, and cost accounting activities in alignment with GAAP and corporate standards.
  • Facilitate monthly financial closures, including journal entry preparation, bank reconciliations, and variance analyses within specified timelines.
  • Manage cash flow tracking for multiple entities, forecasting needs, and requesting fund advances while minimizing financing costs.
  • Support the maintenance of the company's documentation system for all transactions.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly analyses and reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax filings.
  • Examine customer behavior and profitability metrics utilizing various software tools and databases.
  • Assist in generating financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and ad-hoc inquiries.
  • Process payroll and prepare journal entries for direct and indirect labor assignments.
  • Invoice clients for completed work based on key project milestones.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA eligibility is preferred.
  • Experience in publicly traded companies, with knowledge of 8k, S8, NOBO, and cap tables considered advantageous.
  • Capability to navigate ambiguous financial details effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer focus, and motivation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all organizational levels and external partners.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in various situations.
  • Proficient in working independently while also contributing to team objectives.
  • Organized, focused, and committed to accuracy.
