Position Summary
The Technical Support Engineer is a vital member of the support team, tasked with ensuring seamless operations and technical assistance. This role involves providing on-site hardware and software support to clients, maintaining high standards of service and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver operational support to both internal and external clients, adhering to customer agreements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, coordinating on-site support with internal teams and ensuring effective communication to resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct on-site repairs of malfunctioning equipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards and collaborating with relevant teams for resolution.
- Perform site assessments for new client locations, preparing for the installation of products and services under the guidance of senior personnel.
- Identify and escalate issues to appropriate operational channels as necessary.
- Execute preventive maintenance on equipment following established schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
- Provide support for Windows 10 desktop environments.
- Assist with printer and audio/video display issues.
- Support kiosk operations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in on-site technical support and repair of PCs, printers, LAN/WAN equipment, and audio/video displays.
- Proven experience in delivering support in line with Service Level Agreements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the aviation or airline sector is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and holidays.
