Communications Strategy Specialist

Empath Health is actively looking for a Communications Specialist to enhance our outreach efforts.

The primary objective of this position is to design and execute communication initiatives that create a supportive and informed atmosphere for patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ultimately improving the community health care experience. As a Communications Specialist at Empath Health, you will play a crucial role in developing and sharing clear, empathetic, and strategic messages that resonate with all stakeholders. By effectively managing internal communication channels and maintaining a comprehensive crisis communication strategy, you will ensure that staff members are well-informed about organizational policies and initiatives while providing patients and their families with accessible and comprehensible information. Continuous evaluation and enhancement of these communication efforts are vital for maximizing engagement and satisfaction, making this role integral to our mission of delivering compassionate community health care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement communication strategies to boost colleague and client engagement and satisfaction.
  • Create clear and accessible informational materials for patients, their families, and healthcare staff to improve understanding and care.
  • Oversee internal communication channels to keep staff informed and aligned with the organization's policies and initiatives.
  • Conduct regular assessments and analyses of communication efforts to refine outreach and educational initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of not-for-profit and community health care.
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting engaging content for social media platforms, showcasing creativity and effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, features, and best practices for content creation on social media.
  • Proficient in storytelling, copywriting, and video editing, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in writing blogs and internal communications across various organizational divisions.
  • Adherence to brand standards, accurately representing the organizational vision and brand strategy while engaging a diverse audience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing projects independently from inception to completion.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
