About the Role

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Sensor Electrical Engineer to join our team at Amazon Robotics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and releasing sensor systems to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production, including design, prototyping, validation, testing, and certification.
  • Develop requirements, functional specifications, DVT plans, and test procedures.
  • Design, implement, and debug embedded systems, analog, and digital circuits.
  • Support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments.
  • Research and advocate for new technologies and projects to drive business growth.
  • Oversee characterization of new internally developed or OTS sensors.
  • Write papers to drive strategic initiatives for Amazon Robotics.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide advice and direction to outside projects and other groups.
  • Participate in program and design reviews.
  • Ensure program goals are met, working outside of your comfort zone.
  • Provide structure where there is ambiguity.
  • Present work through papers and presentations at internal conferences.
  • Oversee development contracts with outside vendors.
A Day in the Life

As a Sensor Electrical Engineer at Amazon, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing and implementing sensor systems to working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product designs. You will be responsible for developing requirements, functional specifications, and test procedures, as well as designing, implementing, and debugging embedded systems, analog, and digital circuits.
