Manufacturing Engineer

Apex Systems is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of products from design to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and guide electromechanical suppliers for ramp-up and scalability.
- Support supplier quality engineering for scalability.
- Develop and implement best practices on manufacturing tolerances using GD&T.
- Launch tooling with accelerated schedules and assess project risk for the electromechanical supplier base.
- Review external production processes, identify risks, and mitigate them.
- Qualify production processes based on dimensional data, control plans, PFMEAs.
- Drive internal and external FMEA reviews.
- Solve technical problems across a broad set of manufacturing commodities.
- Manage electromechanical supplier quality problems when necessary; drive containment and root cause activities.
- Propose design changes that will enhance product manufacturability and testability.
- Evaluate and approve product electrical Engineering Changes Orders (ECOs).
- Evaluate production, supplier, and field failures for root cause analysis and resolution.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or process vertical at the desired scale, along with a technical degree.
- Experience with SolidWorks-CAD.
- Utilizing a PLM tool (Agile) & Visio experience or similar diagramming and process applications.
- Experience working with and knowledge of core concepts/industry use of PCBAs and electromechanical components.
- Demonstrate experience managing product lifecycle & partnering with third-party manufacturers for establishing and identifying best practices, quality control (root cause analysis), scalability, and tolerances (GD&T).
- Experience with bill of materials (BOM) - engineering change orders (ECO).
- Ability to travel domestically & internationally.
