Security Operations Specialist

The Security Operations Specialist will undertake a range of responsibilities including high-level concierge services, residential and event protection, emergency response, basic transportation, and investigative tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Embody Pinkerton's foundational values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Deliver premier security services to clients at various locations and events.
  • Effectively deescalate potentially volatile situations or individuals.
  • Document incidents thoroughly by writing detailed reports for any occurrences that require attention.
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations and prepare investigative documentation.
  • Provide emergency response services related to crisis management, high-risk terminations, workforce disruptions, natural disasters, civil unrest, and threat assessment.
  • Safely transport clients to and from designated locations and events.
  • Ensure the security of the client's residential area by monitoring access points, reviewing surveillance footage, and responding to alarms as necessary.
  • Identify and report any deficiencies or failures in security equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of three years of experience in law enforcement, military, or security roles. Possession of an Armed Security License for Minnesota, CCW, and CPR/First Aid certification is required.


Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience in law enforcement, military, or security settings.
  • Exceptional customer service skills at a concierge level.
  • Ability to conduct thorough and precise investigations and reporting.
  • Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective interpersonal skills across diverse cultures and levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

Work Environment:

With or without reasonable accommodation, the role requires the physical and mental capacity to perform all essential functions effectively. This includes regular computer use, occasional lifting of small objects, and the ability to focus on tasks requiring both close and distant vision.

Exposure to high-pressure situations may occur, including interactions with individuals in unauthorized areas. Rapid decision-making skills are essential during emergencies.

The position may involve carrying authorized weapons and using protective gear, necessitating awareness of personal safety and the safety of others.

Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods may be required, along with the ability to navigate stairs and uneven terrain. Occasional physical activity may be necessary, and readiness to respond to emergencies at any hour is expected.

Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is part of the role to ensure the successful completion of responsibilities.
