Job Summary

Central School District 13J is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students facing difficulties in language, speech, voice, and fluency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Intervention Plans: Observe, screen, and evaluate students to determine their level of performance and eligibility for services. Provide direct instruction to students, collaborate with school personnel, and develop educational plans.
  • Manage Student Behaviors and Maintain Equipment: Manage student behaviors and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Collaborate with School Personnel: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to develop and implement strategies to support student learning.
  • Stay Current with Best Practices: Stay current with best practices in speech and language therapy, including intervention strategies, competency-based education, and student management techniques.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A valid Oregon Teaching License with speech endorsement and CPR/First Aid Certificate. Job-related experience with social communication intervention and assistive technology.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel. Knowledge of intervention strategies, competency-based education, and student management techniques.
