As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students facing difficulties in language, speech, voice, and fluency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Intervention Plans: Observe, screen, and evaluate students to determine their level of performance and eligibility for services. Provide direct instruction to students, collaborate with school personnel, and develop educational plans.
- Support Student Learning: Create a positive, safe, and effective learning environment to help students achieve their educational goals. Demonstrate and support a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Manage Student Behaviors and Resources: Manage student behaviors and maintain equipment and supplies. Ensure compliance with guidelines and strive for professional development.
- Skills and Knowledge: Perform technical tasks, analyze data, and communicate effectively. Understand intervention strategies, competency-based education, and student management techniques.
- Experience and Education: Job-related experience with social communication intervention and assistive technology. Targeted job-related education. Valid Oregon Teaching License with speech endorsement and CPR/First Aid Certificate.
