Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on full-stack development to become a vital part of Procore's Product & Technology Team. Our software solutions are designed to enhance the construction industry's efficiency, and our team is at the forefront of delivering innovative, highly-rated global platforms. We prioritize customer satisfaction and integrate engineering, product management, design, data, security, and business systems.

This role is situated within Procore's Construction Financials Division. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take ownership of significant projects, refine existing architectures, and contribute to the advancement of Procore's engineering ecosystem, enhancing financial management tools tailored to our customers' requirements.

In this capacity, you will collaborate with product managers, designers, and architects to devise intricate systems, produce high-quality and efficient code, deploy applications to production, and ensure effective observability and monitoring. Leverage your full-stack expertise to create software solutions that influence the construction of essential community infrastructures such as hospitals, homes, sports venues, and educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage pivotal projects utilizing a React frontend and Ruby on Rails backend.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to develop solutions that enhance user experience and address critical business challenges.
  • Deliver impactful, scalable, and efficient features that align with customer expectations.
  • Engage in the design and construction of systems that reflect Procore's vision of a service-oriented architecture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming principles, Test Driven Development, and Design methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in developing full-stack modern applications and frameworks, particularly with Ruby on Rails and React/Typescript.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contemporary web development practices, including development, testing, staging, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Ability to understand and balance technical, analytical, performance, and product objectives, formulating solutions that address all aspects.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset focused on solving customer challenges.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Pay Range: $134,800 - $185,350. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation, and this range reflects the expected pay for this role based on relevant skills, experience, education, and location.
