Job Title: Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our core platform and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, production-ready Ruby on Rails code to ensure the platform is performant, scalable, and secure.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering & quality) to develop new features, improve existing functionality, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and testable code adhering to best practices and participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Ruby on Rails and related technologies, and proactively identify and address potential technical issues and bottlenecks.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Overall 10 years and 5+ years of experience as a Ruby on Rails developer.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to anticipating edge cases & clarifying requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns, strong knowledge of relational database design, SQL, and performance optimization, and strong debugging skills with the ability to find and solve problems with minimal documentation or outside help.
  • Testing and Deployment: Proven ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, experience with testing frameworks like RSpec, and experience with deployment and infrastructure tools like AWS, Kubernetes, or similar.
  • Version Control and APIs: Experience with version control systems like GitHub and experience with building RESTFul APIs, testing using Postman.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, passion for building impactful products, and a desire to make a difference.

  • API Development and Integration: Experience with API development and integration.
  • Front-end Technologies: Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript and React.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Fast-paced Environment: Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
