Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in various areas of our urgent care clinics, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize designated areas of the clinics, including waiting rooms, examination rooms, restrooms, and common areas, according to established protocols and schedules.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or scrub floors as needed, ensuring surfaces are free from dirt, debris, and spills.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners, disposing of waste according to clinic policies and procedures.
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces such as countertops, tables, chairs, and fixtures to maintain cleanliness and prevent the spread of germs.
  • Clean and disinfect medical equipment and supplies following infection control guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling cleaning chemicals and performing tasks that may pose a risk of injury.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid CA driver's license.
  • Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in healthcare facilities.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including safety procedures and cleaning protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, or carry heavy objects and equipment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
