Job Summary:

The Public Area Supervisor is responsible for maintaining all public areas and supervising Public Areas House Attendants at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. This role is part of Evans Hotels, a family-owned and operated business committed to supporting and enhancing employee well-being through various programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate cleaning projects to ensure facilities are well-maintained.
  • Work safely and train staff according to safety standards and practices.
  • Report and follow up on any maintenance concerns.
  • Collect and store soiled linens and receive linen supplies.
  • Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
  • Coordinate and deliver items to guest rooms.

Requirements:

  • Two-year associate's degree, trade school degree, professional certification, or equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Experience running shifts, scheduling, performance management, problem-solving, guest servicing, and running day-to-day operations.
  • Experience dealing with the public is preferred.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude, and a professional appearance at all times.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods, up to and including, the entire shift, and lift up to 25 lbs.
