Position Overview

The Part-Time AV Operations Technician is integral to the support and execution of audiovisual technology, systems, and processes that enhance the production atmosphere at Cross Insurance Center. This role involves delivering assistance for all presentation video, audio, digital media resources, IPTV, and LED display technologies during both event and non-event periods.

  • Part-time employment opportunity
  • Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

The compensation for this position ranges from $18 to $21 per hour.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver operational support for all events at Cross Insurance Center.
  • Collect, transport, stage, set up, operate, dismantle, and return all AV equipment necessary for successful event execution.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot audio and video signal flow from source to destination within the venue.
  • Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on AV equipment as required, with guidance when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all event, service, and storage areas.
  • Collaborate closely with third-party AV service providers.
  • Engage in physical activities such as bending, lifting (15-50 pounds), and extensive walking throughout the venue.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, with 1-2 years of relevant AV experience required.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Innovative and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in cable management.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and select holidays in a seasonal role.
