Lorven Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient traffic movement and monitoring roadways to detect, confirm, update, and respond to scheduled and unscheduled traffic incidents, congestion, and travel time imbalances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate advanced level traffic management systems to manage traffic and incidents on roadways and improve traffic conditions.
- Monitor roadways via CCTV surveillance cameras and detection systems to identify potential issues and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Monitor all traffic devices and computer equipment associated with the system to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest traffic management technologies and best practices to continuously improve our operations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including highway patrol, service patrols, local law enforcement, and fire rescue, to coordinate resources and respond to incidents that may affect regional travel.
- Dispatch service patrols and assist with other tasks, such as phone calls and documentation, to ensure seamless incident response.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of our operations team.
Requirements:
- Advanced level operator position with minimal supervision and ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
