Your Role as an Inventory Control Supervisor

As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing stockroom operations, enhancing professional growth, and streamlining inventory processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and scheduling workload distribution among team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Ensuring timely organization of tasks to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Leading and mentoring employees within your area of responsibility, fostering their professional development.
  • Maintaining an orderly and efficient stockroom and receiving area.
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives for processes and procedures.
  • Providing management with updates on departmental efficiency and performance.
  • Overseeing stockroom activities to ensure effective methods for receiving, shipping, and distributing materials.
  • Preparing and maintaining monthly productivity reports for the stockroom.
  • Ensuring accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts.
  • Coordinating logistics for freight packaging and shipping.

Your Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate Degree in Business Administration is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in stockroom management, with at least three years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective employee relations.
  • Proficiency in Office software (Word, Excel, Access) and familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • A proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
