We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Analyze and report on costs and margins by product and division.
  • Prepare and analyze inventory valuation reports.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile results with financial records.
  • Work closely with the production team to understand and allocate production costs.
  • Participate in budgeting processes, including the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze capital budgeting requests.
  • Perform variance analysis to identify and explain deviations from budgeted costs.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
  • Continually improve cost accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
