Job Summary

Park Place Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support to customers within a designated geographic territory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex system issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support to customers, ensuring prompt and professional resolution to system issues.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostic analysis to identify root causes of system failures, utilizing advanced troubleshooting techniques and operating system analysis.
  • Analyze and repair hardware, storage area network, and systems configuration and compatibility problems, utilizing multiple tools for remote system connection.
  • Manage inventory and parts, determining needed parts and quantities based on contracts in service area, and returning bad or excess parts in a timely manner.
  • Accurately complete and timely return audit forms, email replies, timesheets, and expense reports, and account for all activities correctly using Field Point time reporting utility.
Requirements
  • Minimum seven (7) years specific experience working with OEM data center hardware.
  • Successful prior field experience.
  • Solid technical aptitude and understanding of different OEM equipment with the ability to grasp new products/concepts.
  • Ability to work long and/or unusual hours while maintaining effectiveness, including on-call status and responding to service level agreements within assigned territory.
  • CompTIA A+ and Server + required, with a valid driver's license and an appropriate driving record based on position travel requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification and other OEM computer hardware certifications from major vendors such as Dell, IBM, HP, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (i.e. Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

This is an extremely active position that requires walking, standing, squatting, bending, and driving for over 50% of the workday. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and pass customer background screenings in addition to Park Place Technologies pre-employment screenings.
