About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Generator Field Service Technician to join our team at Prime Power Services Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting Automatic Transfer Switches, engine/generator controls, and excitation systems.
  • Completing quality preventative maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on power generation units, diesel and/or natural gas, or gas engines, and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) as scheduled.
  • Communicating with sales, operations, and customers regarding service and service contract coverage, pricing, terms and conditions, and applicable policies.
  • Responding to inquiries regarding new contract obligations and revisions.
  • Accurately submitting, promoting, and completing general quotes and engineering quotes as needed for the customer base.
  • Adhering to company safety practices and other policies and procedures.
  • Acting with integrity and providing outstanding service to customers and coworkers, building an environment of teamwork and positivity.
  • Reporting any violation or non-compliance with company policies and procedures by Prime Power Services employees or other business personnel, including sub-contractors.
  • Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, schematics, and procedure manuals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma/GED.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in the power generation field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A driving record showing zero felony convictions and less than three (3) moving violations.
  • Pass a criminal background check and mandatory drug screening.
  • Be willing to receive a Covid-19 vaccination.
