Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Service Engineer to join our team at Industrial Electric Mfg Inc. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for directly commissioning, troubleshooting, and performing maintenance on IEM products, including complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and troubleshoot IEM products, including complex systems, with minimal supervision.
  • Lead a team to complete turnkey complex switchgear or controls retrofits.
  • Provide high-level automation assignments and leadership/training/support for junior techs/programmers.
  • Identify and propose solutions to integration issues between IEM equipment and other vendor equipment.
  • Travel to customer sites to complete or lead commissioning and/or troubleshooting activities.
  • Attend site meetings and walk-throughs, providing input to applications or sales teams on automation and switchgear solutions.
  • Provide automation/networking support and commissioning training to field service engineers and technicians.
  • Assist with project start-up and resolving punch list items found at the job.
  • Work with IEM Project Managers to update punch lists and ensure jobs are closed out.
  • Report back issues to manufacturing facilities regarding quality control standards.
Requirements
  • Four-year college degree in Engineering, or related field experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to switchgear, PLC controls, Generator controls, and networking equipment.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer presence.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Travel is required.

Work Environment
