Therapist Opportunity at The Women's Center

The Women's Center, a leading non-profit mental health organization, is seeking a skilled Therapist to join their team in the Washington DC location. This full-time position will provide trauma therapy to survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with survivors.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations and community service providers to provide comprehensive support.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that foster resilience and incorporate family and community resources.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Participate in peer consultations and administrative meetings to stay informed and aligned with program goals.
  • Deliver trauma-informed training and workshops to promote healing and empowerment.
  • Lead support groups and facilitate workshops for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
  • Engage in outreach efforts to build relationships with other organizations and expand the caseload.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Valid license to practice in Washington, DC (LGSW, LGPC, Psychology Associate, LICSW, LPC, or Clinical Psychologist).
  • Experience providing trauma-informed psychotherapy to survivors.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience writing grant reports.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.
