Job Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the guest experience and supporting bar operations.

  • Adhering to the Food & Beverage service protocols established by the management team.
  • Promoting the venue and personal brand effectively.
  • Encouraging guests to make reservations for a more personalized experience.
  • Assisting in the development of a customer database through networking efforts.
  • Building and nurturing a loyal clientele.
  • Participating in weekly marketing initiatives and events.
  • Providing assistance to bartenders and support staff to ensure smooth bar operations.
  • Welcoming guests warmly and ensuring they feel at home.
  • Preparing and serving beverages, ensuring precise measurements and adherence to recipes.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the bar area.
  • Executing all opening and closing responsibilities as assigned.
  • Cleaning and maintaining all bar equipment and supplies in optimal condition.
  • Farewelling guests courteously, using their names when known, and inviting them to return.
  • Upholding a professional demeanor that encourages repeat visits.
  • Anticipating guest needs and responding promptly with a sense of urgency.
  • Actively embodying the philosophy of excellence as a goodwill ambassador.
  • Collaborating with team members to address guest and employee inquiries effectively.
  • Communicating efficiently with management and staff to resolve any issues or fulfill requests.
  • Responsible for end-of-shift cleaning tasks as directed by management.
  • Complying with all company policies and health regulations.
  • Following health and safety standards diligently.
  • Adhering to grooming standards and uniform policies.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude, demonstrating enthusiasm, humility, gratitude, and respect towards all team members.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a high-volume dining environment or 6 months in a fine dining setting.

· Proven ability to meet marketing objectives as outlined by management.

· Familiarity with social media platforms and active participation in online marketing efforts.

· Capacity to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Demonstrated adaptability to a dynamic work setting with frequent changes.

· Ability to execute fine dining service standards, as full meal service is available at the bar.

· Knowledge of spirits, wines, and food pairings.

· Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items, as well as delicate glassware, up to 50 lbs.

· Able to walk and stand for extended periods on various surfaces.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.

· Excellent customer service skills are essential.

· Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

· Proficiency in oral and written English.

· Must be at least 21 years old to serve food and beverages.

· Required certifications include an alcohol awareness card and a Food Handler Safety Training Card.

· Must possess a gaming card.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions.
