We are seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Operator to join our team at StateJobsNY. As a Motor Vehicle Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of motor vehicles to transport people, materials, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation: Drive motor vehicles on and off State property to transport people, materials, and equipment.
- Route Planning: Map routes, itineraries, and points of call to ensure efficient transportation.
- Cargo Handling: Move or carry cargo onto, into, off of, or out of the vehicle operated.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain motorized equipment in support of maintenance, grounds, or building trades crews.
Requirements:
- License: Possess a valid New York State Driver's License appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
- Background Check: Pass a background check, including a State and federal Criminal History Record Check.
- Screening: Pass a screening against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment.
