Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will oversee daily HR functions, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reviews and tracks mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Recruits and interviews qualified job applicants, collaborating with departmental managers to identify required skills and competencies.
- Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications as needed.
- Participates in new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Administers human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters to appropriate personnel.
- Attends employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this position is $50-60,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus bonus potential. Excelsia reimburses for mileage related to on-site presence in the Pennsylvania market, which is required at least once per month. Additional benefits may include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are expected, with occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds. Access to all departments at the organization's facilities is necessary.
