Amentum is in search of a qualified Compliance Specialist to contribute to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential services to the Compliance Division to ensure adherence to applicable laws, executive orders, directives, and regulations governing operational activities.
  • Conduct regular and systematic assessments of internal control frameworks and audit trails, offering recommendations for ongoing enhancements in processes and controls.
  • Report on compliance status and identify clearance deficiencies to the executive leadership.
  • Establish a uniform control framework across all domestic and international subsidiary locations.
  • Facilitate compliance training and implement procedural modifications in response to new or updated regulations.
  • Continuously monitor, research, and analyze existing, proposed, and new federal and state statutes regarding their current and future implications on agency and corporate operations.
  • Advise other departments on identifying and documenting necessary actions/policies, compliance tests, and ongoing monitoring challenges.
  • Utilize critical thinking and analytical reasoning to make informed determinations.
  • Generate documentation related to compliance incidents or processes.
  • Oversee compliance incidents, including root cause analysis and impact assessment.
  • Collect information regarding legal authorities and obligations to support compliance outcomes.
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly, concisely, and professionally.
  • Utilize standard office resources, such as email, web browsers, word processors, and presentation graphics.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships and networks with clients, colleagues, partners, or representatives of other organizations.
  • Draft, edit, or review routine documents (e.g., emails, memoranda, meeting minutes, status reports, production reports).
  • Conduct compliance examination activities employing various investigative techniques and adhering to investigative standards, policies, and procedures necessary for competent investigative conclusions.
  • Apply policy and compliance standards relevant to the organization's mission.
  • Utilize compliance-related tools to audit, monitor, or collect oversight and compliance data.
  • Train new team members.
  • Implement risk management processes.
  • Identify or develop effective strategies for completing work efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a U.S government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and a polygraph (TS/SCI w/ polygraph).
  • A degree in Law, Business, Accounting, or a related field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Management, and Information Technology) is preferred, although a degree in any field is acceptable.
  • Requires eight (8) years of relevant experience and an Associate's degree, or seven (7) years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, or five (5) years of relevant experience and a Master's Degree. Two (2) years of relevant experience may be substituted for an Associate's degree.
  • Relevant experience must include compliance, legal, auditing (preferably in the DOD or IC environment), or related work, and may also encompass work in areas directly related to the mission (e.g., collection, intelligence, cybersecurity).
