We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Functional Safety Architect to join our team at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD). Key Responsibilities
  • Define Product Features and Capabilities: Develop and implement safety requirements for our products, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
  • Lead Technical Direction: Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring that safety considerations are integrated into product design and development.
  • Perform Safety Analysis: Conduct thorough safety analyses, including FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA, and FFI, to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
  • Develop Safety Plans: Create and implement safety plans, including verification and validation plans, to ensure that our products meet safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that safety requirements are met and that our products are safe and reliable.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Systems and SoC Architecture: Strong foundation in systems and SoC architecture, with expertise in CPU, GPU, memory sub-systems, fabrics, CPU/GPU coherency, multimedia, I/O subsystems, clocks, resets, virtualization, and security.
  • Experience with Safety Standards: Experience with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 standards, as well as knowledge of system safety and monitoring methods.
  • Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
