Position Overview:
This role involves operating machinery that combines raw materials to produce beverage items according to precise specifications. The technician is accountable for accurately weighing, measuring, and mixing components to meet established standards. Routine assessments are conducted to verify that the resulting mixture adheres to specified characteristics and consistencies.

Periodic sampling of products during the bottling or canning process is essential to ensure ongoing compliance with standards, including product quality, fill levels, labeling accuracy, freshness dating, and container integrity.

The technician is responsible for documenting test results and communicating any necessary adjustments to the manufacturing process to rectify irregularities. Additionally, there may be a requirement to perform deep cleaning and sanitization of blending and filling equipment as well as production lines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and oversee production line(s) to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Facilitate the proper flow of materials and finished products.
  • Conduct tests and utilize specialized equipment to guarantee package and product quality.
  • Efficiently and safely operate all manufacturing machinery.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area during and after shifts.
  • Adhere to good housekeeping practices to ensure a tidy work environment.
  • Follow established process guidelines and promptly escalate quality concerns to management.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams as necessary.
  • Keep accurate daily records of tests performed and their outcomes.
  • Exhibit regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with audit compliance processes (e.g., monitoring, documentation, variance explanation).
  • Experience with product changeovers (e.g., cleaning in place, flavor adjustments, sanitization, formula settings).
  • Proficiency in operating testing instruments (e.g., Carbo Qc, HPLC, Densitometers, Water Testing).
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adherence to them.
  • Experience in calibrating instruments for accurate measurements.
  • Understanding of microbiology principles related to product sensitivity.
  • Experience with reverse osmosis and water treatment systems.
  • Familiarity with cooling and ammonia systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Experience with mechanical systems, including general troubleshooting and reassembly.
  • Knowledge of sensory testing methods (e.g., taste, odor, appearance comparisons).
  • Basic chemistry knowledge (e.g., titration, pH measurement, mixing techniques).
  • Experience with food safety standards and certifications.
