Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our New Glenn program, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and development of mechanisms and structural components for our launch vehicle.

About the Role:

  • Design and analysis of mechanisms and structural components using CAD tools and FEA software
  • Qualification of primary and secondary structure and mechanisms through testing and analysis
  • Research and development of new concepts and technologies to improve our design and manufacturing processes
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to select materials, manufacturing processes, and suppliers
  • Development of component specifications and management of suppliers
  • Maintenance and reporting of schedule, budget, and technical status
  • C coaching, mentoring, and technical assistance to other engineers
  • Identification of opportunities for improvements and operational cost savings

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering and 6 years of experience with aircraft, spacecraft, automotive, or launch vehicle structures or mechanisms. You must also be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
