Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Spacecraft Structural Dynamics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing finite element models, simulating spacecraft dynamics, and analyzing test data to ensure structural integrity. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects.

Salary
$140,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop finite element models, refine, and validate them against test data.
  • Model and simulate spacecraft dynamics, including launch, docking, and landing events.
  • Analyze acceleration, shock, and vibration measurement data from ground and flight tests.
  • Develop general loads for spacecraft and related ground systems.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- BS degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering
- 5+ years of experience in structural dynamics and loads prediction/validation
- Proficiency in Hyperworks, NASTRAN, Matlab, LS-Dyna, Adams, Wave6, and SEA
- Ability to solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based methods
- Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
- Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation
