POSITION SUMMARY
- Accountable for overseeing and enhancing financial and accounting initiatives at Special Devices, Inc.
- Evaluate and sustain financial documentation to guarantee adherence to industry standards.
- Design, implement, and track organizational financial plans and projections.
- Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Examine monthly revenue reports for anomalies.
- Create presentations for senior management discussions.
- Maintain financial documentation using advanced financial software.
- Support the preparation of accounting and tax documentation for audits.
- Establish Financial Policies and Procedures.
- Oversee reporting within the Finance department.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is mandatory. CPA certification or a Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis and accounting is required.
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
In-depth knowledge of federal regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning tools is advantageous. Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY
Capability to address financial challenges, interpret regulatory requirements, and provide sound recommendations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office setting with significant visual demands and occasional physical tasks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employee must navigate throughout the workplace, engage in communication, and occasionally perform manual tasks. Specific visual capabilities are necessary.
