Job Summary

International Education Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Collections Supervisor to oversee all cash collection activities for the enterprise. The successful candidate will supervise, direct, and coordinate collection activities for institutional loans, private loans, cash payment plan collections, and past-due account collections for all inactive student accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor collection activities of collectors to meet weekly/monthly collection goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collections, create action plans, and execute on them.
  • Stay current and manage oversight of all HEOA Disclosure and Regulation Z requirements, including Truth in Lending and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau requirements applicable to collection activities.
  • Prepare and manage weekly/monthly activity reports, collections reports, and other reports as required to provide collections results to upper management.
  • Manage on-going evaluation and revision of collection practices to set appropriate collection benchmarks for the collection team.
  • Responsible for calling, emailing, and/or sending letters to inactive students with past-due balances to obtain payments.
  • Ensure that collection goals are met each month and strive to exceed this goal.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory/management experience desired.
  • Collections experience in the career college environment is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize workload.
  • Good with numbers.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Spreadsheet and Word.
