Respiratory Therapist/Pulmonary Function Specialist

Job Summary:
Hudson Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist/Pulmonary Function Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders.
2. Perform diagnostic tests on patients, including spirometry measurements, vital lung capacity, functional residual capacity, and arterial blood gas assays.
3. Explain test procedures to patients and determine the quality of their performance.
4. Provide patient education on the proper use of inhalers and nebulizers, as well as disease symptoms and triggers.
5. Maintain and calibrate pulmonary function testing equipment.
6. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
1. Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
2. Associate's degree required.
3. BLS certification required.
4. NJ Respiratory Care License required.
5. Certified Respiratory Therapist certification preferred.
